I have found a number of movies where, if you select an artist in the movie, they do not show all of the movies they are in. If I move the files out and do the Plex dance, then they start showing up.
Is there a way to refresh just the artist info for all of my movies? I have a lot of edits I have made to the metadata and do not want to lose that work and I am concerned that "Refresh Metadata " will wipe out any edits I have made.
There’s no way to tell Plex to refresh only certain items, like artist info.
When you made the edits to your metadata, did you leave the lock engaged (orange)? 
This prevents the Refresh Metadata command from overwriting your edits.
Yes, all of them are locked. I wasn’t sure if the lock kept it safe from a refresh metadata and not just standard review the system does. Thanks for the info.
That’s the intended purpose of the lock, anyway.
