The instructions say to choose “Refresh Metadata” for the server to begin using data from allmusic.com. The data in the Artist field is being removed during the “Refresh Metadata”.
Is this expected bahavior?
old artist info will be removed and new artist info added
you can check @ Plex Web > settings > alerts, when plex is updating/processing metadata.
So when I choose “Refresh Metadata” and it completes a particular artist, some of the Artist fields are still populated with data and some were removed. What is the correct thing to do, remove all artist info or repopulate the Artist info. See pic.
Well I suspect you might just need to give it more time, some of those tracks may not have yet been ‘matched’ or had all the metadata pulled down.
consider also this updating going live this morning, and everyone who has updated the server is going to be pulling a lot of data, so it could be server load.
