I have an issue with mismatch data between the poster listing Info vs the General tab. Plex is pulling incorrect data for some of the files, however, when I delete data in some of the fields (i.e. Originally Available, Title, etc…), it still shows up in the Poster list view. If I re-enter the edit mode, the data fields that I deleted are still blank, but continue to show up in the list even after refreshing Plex.
Additionally, sometimes the Title field reverts back to the old title after I have modified it along with the Sort Title field. The Sort Title field will remain changed, but the Title field will revert back to it’s previous text. This seems to happen at random, meaning, not all the files I change does this. The change also will sometime appear the following day.
I am also not sure what the orange lock icons mean. It allows me to toggle it on and off, but I have no idea what the mode means.
The attached pictures will show a Date next to the poster, but shows a blank field in the Originally Available field. This is not happening to all files, but to some and remains that way even after REFRESH.

For info on editing metadata and what all the icons and fields mean see:

And for the item you listed are you placing this in a Movie or TV library

It is listed under Movie library. The content more falls under personal content as the majority of the files are clips. In reading through the article concerning icon color meanings, the content that I edited in the example provided, should not have been changed. So if it is reverting back to what it was after some time, and the lock is orange, what does this say?
Any idea how to resolve this?
If these are clips then there probably isn’t any metadata available for them in any of the agents.
The show is listed here in the thetvdb.com site: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=291251&lid=7
But again, I don’t see a listing for your clip.
You may be able to add them as specials S00EXX
to the Show Color Crew
and fill in the missing metadata
I deleted the library then placed the files under Home Videos. That seems to have resolved the issue with Plex pulling incorrect metadata for the closest match.
However, what I don’t understand is why Plex would continue to poll and update the metadata after I would manually modify it. According to the lock function, any changes that I make then save, should not change even after a Refresh. This does not seem to happen under Home Videos, but it is a persistent problem with files filed under Movies.
