I had a unique issue today. I had uninstalled my server due to issues and went back to re-install. Once I did, it wouldn't give me permissions to see the server (Win7 computer). It wasn't until I went into registry and searched "Plex Media Server" and deleted anything associated. Once I did that I restarted the application and it instantly picked up my computer with no problems. I believe this would be a feature that would help many so that uninstalling and re-installing would fix most of their issues.
