Server Version#:??
Player Version#:??
Sorry I do not have the requested information. I am a bit of a novice but during the COVID shut down I successfully got a 48tb plex server up and running and it ran great for several years. Then all the sudden any time my purpose built HTPC shut down or restarted I would have to completely delete the server from the PC and reinstall to keep it working. This was annoying as box art and titles would change every time. This became difficult and I would go longer and longer without even attempting getting the server up and running again. Now I’m trying to get it back up and I cannot even open the server. On the website it tells me I need to download a server, when I try it says it’s already downloaded. I’ve tried opening the server at the start menu with no luck, I deleted the server from my PC but the downloaded still thinks it’s installed. Now I don’t know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Z
To uninstall software, you don’t need to run it.
Use the Windows control panel, specifically the “Apps” section to uninstall software.
This will remove the Plex executables from your Program Files folder.
You then will have to remove the Plex server branch from the Windows Registry,
as well as delete the Plex data folder manually.

Do NOT use any kind of “uninstaller” app or Windows cleaning tool!
I forgot: before deleting the plex data folder, save the subfolder /Updates from it.
This should contain the last 3 installer executables, if you need them for more troubleshooting.
Thanks so much! I had completely forgotten I had to get into the registry and delete the files there. One more question, it’s probably an issue with my PC and not Plex but do you know why every time my PC disconnects from the Internet I lose my plex server? I always have to start over again. Would be great if this was the last time at least for a while
