Is it possible to install this on a chromebox?Windows or OSX only, until someone comes up with an embedded build.
I’ve only just stumbled across OpenPHT so I’m not familiar with its history at all… Is this something we’re waiting for someone to “come up” with for OpenPHT in general, or just waiting for someone to prepare this particular build for a Chromebox?
Historically, Plex Inc only provided PHT for Windows and OSX, Linux and embedded builds (what you require for your Chromebox) were always provided by members of the community, you can still get PHT builds for these but the version is only 1.4.1.
From reading some of the topics some individuals are looking at doing OpenPHT 1.5.1 builds but I haven’t seen any at the moment.
The team have done some work on embedded OpenPHT but there is some way to go, so no timescale. We’ll post in here when, and if, we get a build done.

‘Play from here’ is in the context menu, will continue playing until stopped, it was in the release notes for 1.5.0.
Would it be possible to consider an option to ask the user to ‘Play from here’ or ‘Play once’ when selecting an episode to play if there are episodes past the current one? Like the box you get to select ‘Play from {time}’ or ‘Play from beginning’ when playing a unfinished media file. I still appreciate the context menu being there but this would be a cool user experience.
Guys, i’ve been really impressed with your work since bringing PHT under your wings. Likewise Rasplex has been fab for me. Well done and a big thank you.
On a side note i’m really pleased to see RGB level adjustment. Looking forward to trying it out.
Not sure if this would be an openPHT question or not. I’m looking at the Screensaver functionality, specifically with regards to using photos.
it seems like currently, the application picks some # of photos and rotates through those rather than consistently grabbing random photos from the collection. basically, I mean that if the screensaver activates and runs for more than 10 minutes or so, you start to see the same pictures as you did earlier. Should this be the case, and if so, is it possible to change?
Secondly, would it be possibly to show the ‘date taken’ for the photo instead of only allowing the file name?
