I’m at a loss for words, but I’ll try with a few: Who exactly pushed to release this incomplete and buggy mess out into the public in this state? Is this for real? Cool, a new design… cool, new logos… everything else is worse in every way. The new player is awful. Can’t full screen with a double…

Check out Plezy - it’s available for Android TV, Fire TV, IOS, etc. Open source and feels a lot like the original Plex app - and it actually works!

Meanwhile, all we Roku users can do is suffer in silence with the lack of much needed alternatives. Maybe in another 6-10 years we’ll get a radical new redesign that will introduce a left hand menu as a bold “new feature” and “the way of the future.”

Yeah too bad Roku makes it a lot harder to get apps developed for and into their store (at least from what it sounds like).

From Elan’s experience, Google is also known to be difficult when sending Plex updates to deployment as well.

TBF, not in defense of Plex at all, but we were promised flying cars in the mainstream this era. I think another decade will suffice til then. May left menus retain their dominance in ten years!
