Remember "PLEX!" screaming at you when you opened the app?

Hey all
Remember when the pinheads who make this service introduced that loud startup sound where it yells “PLEX” at you with an obnoxious boot noise?
Remember how stupid and out of touch that was, and remember the enormous and constant backlash, insistence, posts, responses etc etc that were needed before the absolute conehead geniuses finally got rid of it?

Remember that?

Remember how prior, during and after that sound was introduced, there were and remain a myriad of real, genuine issues that need fixing in Plex?

Remember how it was also during that time where they introduced more and more ads, sponsored content etc to this PAID service that we PAID for?

Ads, obnoxious startup sounds, and unfixed issues.

Just a reminder of where these folks priorities are. They don’t care about you at all. Don’t forget that

Why did you dig up a grievance from a year ago?

Show us on the doll where Plex touched you.

remember when you paid $80 for software 10 years ago and continue to use it daily? Move on if you hate it.

You and I pay daily for Plex. There are ads in it, remember?

Or are you a bootlicker and you call them something else?

No ads here. I only use it for my local media. No bugs either, because I don’t upgrade every time there’s a shiny new thing

Seems odd to claim that ads are added to what we paid for, since when I paid for it there were:

  1. No ads at all and
  2. No free streaming content.

Both of which were added after I paid, didn’t cost me a dime to add in, and can be 100% ignored/disabled with no nag screens or text.

But I have a server, so I disable this content. So no ads here.

Never seen an ad in Plex before, I don’t use the free movies/shows. I don’t care they they exist though as its a revenue stream to keep the lights on since I paid them $80 10+ years ago and mine doesn’t keep the lights on for them.
