Was thinking that plex LiveTV/DVR could really do with a “reminder” function where you can set a reminder on a particular programme and plex app will then send a notification that the programme is about to start. Particularly useful at the moment while the Euro 2020 comp is on. Would be nice for plex to notify me that a match is starting as I want to watch it live
@elan is this something that could be added fairly quickly or would it require major changes?

you’re welcome. We have a system like this on BT TV in the UK. when you highlight a programme in the guide and it starts at a future date/time then you are presented with two options, Record or Set Reminder. Record obviously adds it to the schedule either as a one off or a series record, Set Reminder simply pops up a notification on screen saying that the programme is about to start. That way if you are watching something else on LiveTV or a recording you dont miss the start of the show. when the message pops up it gives you the option to switch to programme or cancel. Plex could do this but extend it to popping up a notification via plex app so you can either start watching it, or if you are out and about, give you the option to set it to record remotely
