Remote access is patchy app to Home PC

Hi

I’ve been using Plex for years but I always have this remote access issue when I’m on mobile (no matter the location of signal strength) and the app shows it’s me, shows my PC HDD folders etc but won’t connect.

I remote in to PC and says it’s fully accessible but the app gives me the default page and although I’m logged in says ‘Offline’

So frustrating, can anyone advise?

Additionally:

  • always use a wired network connection between your server and the router
  • disable power saving in the properties of the network adapter in your server
  • don’t allow the network adapter to lower the link-speed when idle
  • make sure that “Support Away Mode when preventing system sleep” is enabled under Settings - Server - General - Show Advanced
  • don’t force your server into hibernation mode
