So at 17:45:31 there was an attempt to test connectivity to your public IP and public port 32400 and it failed to get through
Was the port forward setup in the router at this time?
TCP Port Forward Public Port 32400 to forward to Local Private Port 32400 to 192.168.1.39 ?
If it was then please look into firewall rules
You can add an inbound port rule
Protocol TCP
Local Port 32400
Remote Port Any
Remote IP Any
Programs Any
Action Allow
There were a few rules forwarding various ports to 32400 that I think the UPNP has setup over the years., but i realized after I sent the logs that none of them were forwarding 32400. I finally setup a proper forward and it seems fine now… Operator error – but UPNP is still broken obviously.
Pretty annoying that I have had to search and eventually to hear to find out why Remote Access no longer works. I spent too much time trying to fix the issue to no avail just to find out its due to the update and everything I have done is futile.
Plex Media Server 1.14.0.5468 has just been released as Beta. It has two fixes for bugs that impacted Remote Access
See Release Notice
Automatic port mapping could fail with some older routers (#9335)
Fix for Server Unreachable and Remote Access issues (#9228)
Anyone running an early beta or a development build with early release of these fixes should now update to the official beta, Thank you for helping confirm the fixes
Ugh. I’m on the latest version and remote access intermittently breaks. I can manually set it up or change it to automatic, and either way, for a brief moment it says remote access is enabled then goes back to ‘disabled’. I’ve tried disabling my ISP’s router firewall and manually re-creating Port Forwarding rules but still no luck. I did also double-check local settings so that the server’s firewall is properly configured.
