Remote access not using correct IP

I have multiple network cards on my PC and plex seems to be using the wrong one.

  • I have told plex my preferred network interface
  • I have a dynamic dns name which I have put in custom server access URLs
  • I have put in a firewall rule for a custom port number

but it doesn’t work until I disable the network interface that plex prefers to use. when I do that it works fine.

so how can I convince plex to do as its told and use my preferred network?!
