I am attempting to set up remote access, manually specifying 32400 and forwarding it on my NAT device.
I can reach :32400 on my phone’s LTE connection, and I see the Plex sign-in screen in Safari, and I can connect to my server from the Plex iOS app using my phone’s LTE, but Plex is still telling me that my server is unavailable outside my network when I look at the settings screen. Is there a reason for this, and do I need to worry about it?
When I tell it that it can forward a random port automatically, I get the green checkmark.
If you create a portforwarding manually in your router,
you must tick the checkbox and input the external port number. Then click on ‘Retry’. Wait 20 seconds then click again if it didn’t take at once.
I’ve been seeing the same thing the last couple days. PMS thinks it’s inaccessible but it actual is accessible as proven by connecting with a phone on LTE.
I’ve changed nothing anywhere in my setup so I think it’s a plex problem. Perhaps the server they use to test accessibility is down?
I just upgraded to 1.8.1.4139 (ubuntu). Remote was working, after the update, not working. I even tried changing the port and putting a rule in my firewall. Still doesn’t work.

Your server is perfectly accessible from the outside.
