Hi, for the life of me I cannot get Plex to be accessible externally. http://127.0.0.1:32400/ It connects fine, I go to Remote Access, I see “Fully accessible outside your network”. I refresh, and then I see “Not available outside your network”.

https://app.plex.tv/ Isnt showing the server at all. It shows as “Indirect”.

I can see the port is being forwarded on my router correctly via UPNP. I can also forward it manually. Windows Firewall disabled and/or adding allow for the port.

Same issue. I have reinstalled Windows, Plex about 3 times, reset my router. Nothing seems to work!! Only seems to be happening last month or so.

Hi there, I know it’s frustrating when you get this problem, I know, I’ve had it many times when changing a router or reinstallation, but believe me it is very very likely to be the setup in your router not liking the setting in plex.

Check whatsmyip.com for the ip shown for your internet IP. It should be the same (see Double NAT issues) if not. Maybe your ISP has changed your connection type!

Check also that even though plex and the router shows that port 32400 is forwarded correctly, setup the same exact port rule in the manual setting within plex.

These two things, I have learnt by experience, are the two things that get me stuck everytime.

good luck, cheers CD
