I ran a new install of Plex today. Plex is showing that remote access is working. When I attempt to access my content using https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/ and signed in as the same account I receive an error stating that I am not authorized to access the content.

In regards to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/ the following GETs are failing with a 401:

I don’t have an immediate solution to your issue, but I’d recommend removing the X-Plex-Token=value portion of your posts; that’s as good as having the username and password with which you login.

You may also want to invalidate your existing token and get a new one; see the “Getting a New Token” section of this support article:

[Edit]
It looks like the token has now been removed. You may still want to invalidate your existing token, however.

Roger, roger. Thank you for the help.

Edit that did the trick, thank you @trumpy81

Hi, Trumpy81. Can you do the same for my certificate as well? Thanks

Hi trumpy81.
I am having exact the same problem as described in this thread (“Remote access unavailable (…)”)
The “Remote Status” shows the green check and there is a following statement on top of the “Remote Access” pane: “Fully accessible outside your network”.

I am able to connect to my Plex via Internet Browser, but when I access it via app on the TV, then is says that app.plex.tv cannot access securely with “”…

Can you please help? I have my logs exported already. Would you like my to send them to you via pm?

Best regards,

Hi @trumpy81 ,

It took me a while to upgrade the Plex server on my NAS. It look like the new version resolved my problems.
Thanks for your support.

Best regards,
Champix.
