Still very annoyed this isn’t working. It was and still is my primary way of using Plex.
I don’t understand why that had to be lost. The server is still able to receive commands, the iOS app is still able to send commands. Why would this simple UI be so much work to maintain?
I’m genuinely interested in the answer as I’ve been a software developer for over 15 years and this shouldn’t be an issue if proper modeling was used while having the current functionality still running
Another vote for the remote functionality. Some things can’t be done from the app without the remote like unlocking the UI if it has a pin lock.
Or at the very least have a way to have the playback controls be more persistent or easier to bring up once the phone goes to sleep and wakes up again?
SOLVED: delete IOS app for Plex and ban it from your phone. Then remove it from your TV… fixed. KODI works great.
