Cannot remote control Plexamp on Mac

I am running Plexamp on my Mac and iPhone. In Plexamp on my iPhone I can select the Plex web player on my Mac and use my phone as a remote, however doing this I lose all of the great features of Plexamp (e.g. Fades), however when I have the Plexamp app open on my Mac, I cannot see it in the Cast menu, and cannot control it with my phone.

Atm Plexamp cannot be controlled. It can only control, itself.
