I would love to see both phone as ip remote support and ir remote support as I use windows mce for my home media consumption. This is mostly due to infinitv dvr recorders and for the ease of use. If I have missed this being somewhere or a feature already then I apologize. For example Ceton has an android remote app that I can use instead of a remote control and it works over my home network.

Just in case, you can use Plex/iOS and Plex/Android apps to remote control Plex/HT and other Plex players. Plex/HT has additional support for the XBMC IP remote control protocol.
