Add the ability to add files that are located somewhere else to the server. For example, VLC can play mp4 files that are loaded over the internet with http or https. It would be interesting to be able to do the same with Plex without having to setup fuse, etc. And lower bandwidth players could benefit from it as the server could transcode those remote files down before sending them to the client.
