Hi, so I purchased Plex remote watch pass for my Plex account. I did this through Apple and I think that’s why it may not be working how I expected it to. Now on my phone it works fine, but I have a iPad I share with my kid and it is under a child’s Apple account so I can monitor it and manage screen time. I also use the iPad myself though and I want to use it for Plex. The Plex pass isn’t working on this iPad and I suspect it may be because although the Plex account is the same account the iCloud account is different. Is that what’s going on? If so is there a work around? I don’t want to pay for multiple screens. My wife also has a iPad shared with our other child so it’s going to be the exact same issue I suspect.
Remote Watch Pass is not a full Plex Pass. It cannot be shared with other users.
Only a full Plex Pass allows this.
And only members of your Plex Home will profit from a Plex Pass on your (server administrator) Plex account.
By default, only managed user accounts are can be members of your Plex Home. You can also invite regular Plex accounts into your Plex Home, but the ability to do this requires also a full Plex Pass.
thanks for the reply but it’s only one Plex account I’m trying to use. I just want to use it on my Apple TV, my phone and my iPad. It’s the same Plex account. I don’t need multiple users.
You said that your kids each have their own Plex devices and accounts.
No, I said I share my iPad with one of my kids. They don’t use Plex they use kids YouTube. I watch Plex on the iPad so it’s just the same Plex account across my three devices. The iPad in question is under a different iCloud account though as I monitor and control the screen time. Plex account is the same but the Apple account is different.
As long as the Plex client on each of these devices is logged into the same (your own) Plex account, they all can use the Remote Watch Pass that you have bought.
RWP (and also the full Plex Pass) are linked to the plex user account. Not to devices or 3rd-party accounts like the Apple Store or similar.

I don’t have sufficient permission to view all details about your Plex account. To me it looks like you have attempted to subscribe through Apple, but that failed.
