After tonight’s outage, developers need to really think about decoupling the local plex server auth from any plex.tv central servers.
Not being able to access my own LOCAL server and content because your authentication goes down is pure BS!!!

Though I agree there should be more ability to locally store cached credential tokens and remote client memory of last seen server ip addresses, I’ve never tested, or at least noticed, any local issue - I have my local subnet x.x.x.0/255.255.255.0 added to the Plex server -settings - Network - advanced - ‘List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth’ section.
Maybe that’s why I’ve not noticed as much?
