Remove Deck Items

Also +1 for this feature request. I really don’t understand why this is such as big deal to add. As an experienced programmer myself I can’t think of any technical difficulty that is making this feature request so extremely hard to implement.

I have been using Plex for a fairly long time right now and this is my only gripe with the system, but most disappointing is the way the Plex crew replies to the posts. You are suggesting to mark a complete show as watched or any other “workaround” that makes this problem seem insignificant to you. Every one of your suggestions has been disproven by stating that the solution brings another problem.

I hope Plex will fix this function or at least explain why you aren’t willing to do this. In your emails you are posing as a young company, but right now you are communicating with your customers like some big corporation… Otherwise you guys are really making a great system!

Also +1, but I’ve little expectation of seeing any change. Plex development is the least interested in user feedback of any app I have ever used.

Not to beat a dead horse, perhaps you can show me a work around to get where I’d like to be if possible… (Couple images attached)

Here is what my “On Deck” looks like

Here is what my “Recently Added TV Shows” looks like

I watch The Daily Show, every day mostly, and Lucifer, Weekly, and Westworld, while not up to date (see below), still its not “On Deck” and it’s relatively new, certainly, shouldn’t have expired. How do I get these shows back “On Deck”

Check the media info for those episodes and make sure they have the aired dated listed. That’s what PMS uses to show OnDeck.

Do you mean this ? I couldn’t find anything in the
“Get Info” or in the XML

Ok. That looks right. How about this setting for your library?

Yes, that is checked.

Hmm. Can you post the XML’s for episodes 6 and 7? These are the last one watched and the one that showed be next. If that’s changed please provide me the updated XMLs for the appropriate episodes.

Attached are episodes 6 and 7 XML’s

oh, and, yes, 6 was the last watched and 7 is the next unwatched to be watch - but not showing up on Deck

Thanks. There is something odd with your XML for episode 6. It’s missing a key value, the GUID. This is what PMS uses to track your watched status. I have no idea how you can have a blank GUID. That shouldn’t be possible. Would you mind PM’ing me your database file?

Sure, which file is that exactly?

EDIT: nevermind, same way you get the log files.

I am looking at a Timeless episode that is On Deck, and it has no GUID at all…

Check the episode before.

Everything looks fine. How about this setting?

@MovieFan.Plex any ideas?

Unfortunately no. All your data looks fine, except for that XML, but that is not used to actually determine what items are OnDeck. I’m still looking but this is a real head scratcher.

So, is there anyway I can get these shows back “On Deck”?

Everything you had looked fine so I have no idea why they do’t show up OnDeck for you. I would suggest trying to Plex Dance (see signature) that show. It will cause that show to become “Recently Added” again.
