I and I’m sure others have situations like myself where they either watch parts of some media and then stop and would like to reset the progress on it back to normal but without using the “Mark as Unplayed” or “Mark as Played” options.
So would it be possible to add an option like “Remove Watched Progress”.
P.S this has nothing to do with “Remove from Continue Watching”.
Just to better understand your use case… how does this relate to selecting the Play from beginning option when revisiting that item?

For me it doesn’t, I just do not wish to have a library full of media that shows different progress bars on them, it’s an OCD thing sorry.
Selecting Unplayed or played counts towards the relevant action and i do not wish this to occur.
So you actually want an option for Plex simply not to track the progress (except for a movie being watched or not)? There’s actually already an existing feature suggestion discussing such an option – basically considering a handling like it’s currently done for music/audio libraries.
If that’s what you’re looking for, I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes from each other (and closing this thread as a duplicate).
Hi, not exactly, that looks to be someone requesting a global option to not track progress… i want progress to be tracked, however i want to ability to manually reset progress on selected media if and where required without triggering a “played” or “unplayed”
Might not be what you want but on the occasions this happens for me I manually rewind what I’ve partially watched back to the start, play maybe 5-10 seconds at the beginning (so plex can pickup the change) and then stop.
This typical works with the episode being reset and watch status being unaffected and continue watching returning to how it was before.
Thanks for the suggestion, it is something i actually try to do already but i’d say its very hit and miss on success, for me its mostly miss.
