Hi, I have been having issues with Sonos 1/Alexa/Plex Skill which I have now found to be due to the loudness values in the library. Having tested it with a newly added album without analysis, I wondered if there is a way to remove these values from the existing music library? I don’t really want to have to remove all library items and then perform a compete rescan.
I did solution 1 (based on another post) and it solved my problem. I haven’t tried solution 2. I’m happy with the solution, however I want to know if there is a way to reset the loudness setting for a whole library? I have now turned off analyse for my music library, but would rather not have to add it all again as some metadata has been manually set.
I’ve run into the EXACT same issue with Plex-Alexa-Sonos and can confirm that my mp3s with loudness information will not play, but deleting and re-importing those mp3s with loudness analysis off fixes this issue. Could someone please answer the original question as posed as I too would like to know how to remove the loudness information from my mp3s without deleting and re-importing all my music? Is there a way to force Plex to treat a file as if it were new and re-scan it?
Aside: This isn’t a trial and error thing, other people have posted in the Sonos forums that the Sonos API gets called incorrectly by Alexa when loudness is included as part of the POST.
