Repeat option

I have read many posts where people are asking if there is a repeat option and the only answer seems to be “if the app has it, it will be in the OSD” which doesn’t really answer the question. so i was wondering

  1. what apps have the repeat function?
  2. is there plans to add the repeat function to other apps ie web browser and windows app? the plex home theater had it.

The repeat/repeat all button seems like such a basic feature other media players (Emby, VLC, windows media player and Kodi etc. etc) have this function it is a shame for Plex not to have it.

not sure why no one from Plex is answering my question, and I messaged Plex on Facebook over 3 days ago and still no response.

Plex Home theater was nothing much more than a heavily modified XBMC skin

we don’t make promises about what might or might not happen in the future.

bigwheel, i know that you can’t make promises about what might happen in the future, i guess the direction i was going in with this is

  1. Repeat seems to be a basic feature of a lot of media players
  2. This seems to be a popular request (after looking through the forums)
  3. If people are asking for this feature then this is something that your client base feels will help with the plex experience.
  4. If the music player has a repeat option, then i would assume it was be easy to make the changes to include it in the video player.

Thanks for you help Bigwheel, i guess it is back to Emby for me for now.

Why have you all IGNORED this simple, yet very common and USEFUL feature?

There is a reason you haven’t implemented this simple feature yet. So either come clean and tell the user community what that reason is or just add the simple feature.

I need a REPEAT option. I need videos to display for longer than your “unchangeable” 2-hour limit. I need to be able to set a video on REPEAT and just turn it off when I’m ready.

Maybe you should change to a different software that fits more your usecase. lol

maybe if Plex created all apps equal, the IOS is one of the only apps that has a repeat option for tv and movies iirc
