Repeatedly have to re-establish PS4 link to plex account

With the latest version for PS4, EVERY TIME I power up my PS4 I have to sign it back into my Plex account. This never happened with prior versions, Plex remembered and just logged back into my Plex account. Now every time I sit down to watch some content off my PMS, I have to have a laptop or tablet handy to go to plex.tv/link and enter the 4 digit code. EVERY TIME.

Please HELP Plex devs!!!

I have the exact same problem with mine. Version 1.01 Plex for ps4.

yup, same problem here… every couple of days, sometimes even a few times in the same day I have to re-link plex ps4 … its annoying as hell!

Whats the issue ?

same issue here. every few hours i have to re-sign back in. really frustrating. Can we get the PS4 app looked at?

As follow-up to my still unanswered question to the devs, I’ve been trying to find a pattern that reproduces it as sometimes I do not have to re-link and sometimes I do. Far more often I do have to re-link. It does not seem to follow any pattern I can find between actually closing the app (rather than just starting another), doing a power off versus standby, etc.

Note when it loses it’s link to my account, it also loses all the settings I had selected so have to re-do those too.

MY next step is delete the app from my PS4, do a hard power off, safe mode rebuild, power up, then reinstall Plex.

From what i can tell it looks like it started after the update to the PlayStation, so whatever they did tweeked the connections or just to cookies that remember the connection itself.

Just thinking out loud here.

Yes plex has to be reset every single time! I thought there would be more PS4 uses with the same issue! Has anyone solved this yet?

Still persists in PS4 2.7.5/01.40 at least with the 4.00 beta 3 firmware.

Thanks Matt. I’m amazed there aren’t more people coming here to complain about this. It started for me back in July (or maybe June) when I first posted, so at least 3 if not 4 months now.

This extremely annoying issue still exists.

This still exists, and is driving me mental (pc and ps4 at opposite ends of the house =/)
