Let me tell you how useless this new feature is. When the user hits “report issue” within plex. It notifies me with a blank notification, not even letting me know what movie it was that the report was for. A1 as usual Plex employees… would expect nothing less than mediocre from you. God you’ve gone down hill since 2016. Fix the crap that needs fixing and stop “fixing” crap that isn’t broken.
Thanks for the entirely unhelpful response! As noted, it is not working for the OP, nor does it contain any useful information for debugging…so the feature is broken.
I can see that it’s not working for OP, and the message even tells him why.
There is an issue with his server (e.g. not reachable or similiar) because the information missing in his screenshot are directly retreived from the server itself.
Let’s curb it down a notch and assume other users are trying to help (as I believe pommesmatte did). You might not like the result… but their point is perfectly valid (putting aside if there could/should be a better error message if the reported issue cannot be displayed properly due to some server issues).
It might not be helpful with regards to fixing an issue at hand… but it’s absolutely useful to give you some context — here: the feature as such is working but it appears there’s some conflicting issue that’s impacting things for you / the OP.
The posts even included another useful hint to check the server connectivity/availability as next step of a troubleshooting. The error message in the OP doesn’t give us more hints… it might be worth checking if this is specific to the app you’re using (e.g. no connection problems from another client). Beyond that you’ll probably need to take a look at the related logs (or to check if somebody can help with those).
