I think this would be a nice feature to have.
Between myself and bunch of my friends, for example, I have access to a massive library. It would be nice if i could search somewhere and see where the available shows are. Aggregated search or completely different library page/view?

This is already possible.
You can tell Plex to “search” across all servers shared with you.

i was sort of thinking about a separate … aggregated library view (updated on nightly? basis)
but i realize this would add a whole level of complexity that probably isnt warranted. 
having search is helpful - thanks for pointing the feature out.
