Request: be able to connect to server using specified hostname/IP and port within the app

It would be very convenient to be able to access plex within the app using services such as ngrok to avoid port forwarding, or when you are unable to do so. I can connect to it via a web browser, but not within the app, for obvious reasons.

Some clients may still not work right off the bat.
You will probably have to set allow them to fall back to an unencrypted connection (if they offer such a preference – some do, some don’t).

If you are able to get a (proper, publicly trusted) cryptographic certificate for this URL, things may improve.
