Remote access not available

Server Version#:1.42.2.10156
Player Version#:Web & mibox s app

Hello
Since 2 days I’m not able to access my remote plex server using Web access (https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/) and also plex application installed on Mibox S

It is working fine from my mobile and also windows app.

I tried to diagnose a bit :
When trying to access directly with IP and port using https I got the “error message“ below

Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from 38.ein.itsby.design (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more about this warning

net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

This server could not prove that it is myservername; its security certificate is from *.c927af5457804ca9b83a72e245a1af41.plex.direct. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

In the log I can see this, don’t know if it is useful or not :

I have no idea how to solve that and why it is working fine from plex app on android mobile and not on other android devices like Mibox S

Any help would be appreciate

Don’t use a custom domain name at all for your server if it’s within the same LAN as the client. Just stick to an IP address if you want to load the local web app. You cannot use https for the local web app. Stick to plain old http.

If you use a custom domain name for a remote server, you need to have a fitting security certificate (that’s publicly trusted – i.e. not self-signed) which needs to be inserted into the Plex server configuration.
The same applies if you use a proxy server in front of the plex server.

Hi

thx for the reply
The client is not on the same lan. My server is a remote server hosted on a box somewhere on the net.
When using the standard web way to access my plex content (https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/) it says no content available, please verify your connection…

I didn’t change anything to the setup so don’t understand why suddenly it’s broken. Never had to play with certificate before

btw remote access page in the settings says everything is green.

Accessing via https://Ip:port also get a warning about certificate issue

I tried reinstalling the server from scratch and I got the same issue.

Plex for windows app, android mobile app are working fine, https://app.plex.tv/desktop doesn’t work
:frowning:

This morning everything is back to normal w/o making any change
