[Request] Camera Upload for Videos and Combine Video and Photo Library!

To the powers at be,

 

Can we please enhance the Plex App "Camera Upload" feature, to support uploading of videos from ones smartphone?

 

Secondly, and I've raised this before, I would really like photos and videos to be combined within the same plex library or at least linked in someway.

 

Most events say e.g. my sons birthday will have a mixture of photos and videos stored within the same plex folder. Therefore it is counterintuitive to have this content split within Plex.

If plex handled video and photos in one library then i would hazard a guess and say smartphone video and photo uploads would have been a combined feature within Camera Upload from day 1.

Since video and photos are treated as mutually exclusive to Plex, the camera upload feature treats them as separate requirements. This gives rise to the half baked solution in place right now.

Plex needs to combine the library's in the same way the Android Photo's or Gallery App works.

Agreed - this would be a killer feature for me.

If in the short term video were simply sent to a separate Mobile Videos upload I wouldnt care, so long as I got my uploads! :D

Has someone found a way to upload videos with Camera upload ?

@Plex team: are you working on that topic ? does it make sense ? or do you suggest to do it differently:

use a usb to put your videos on your server .... oooohhh no :)
