Just like the title says - I’d like to take all of my movies and let Plex optimize them at original quality. I have a lot of movies from the CD-R Rip days, so they are 2,3 or 4 parts, some in avi, some in mp4 etc… I’d like them in a single file, optimized for streaming. Right now, I have to optimize, copy to the folder, wait until Plex recognizes the new file, delete the old files, and then delete the optimized versions folder.
I suppose I don’t really care if there is sub folders created for each version, I just dont want duplicate of the originals. I know I can use Handbrake to do it manually, but then I have to find each one, set it up, and replace it. I really like that you can optimize a whole library folder. If you can set metadata flags that say “this has been optimized for original”, and mobile and … whatever other versions you want - you could just every once in a while say optimize my library, and it would do everything it hasn’t done.
