Request: Run Plexconnect and Web server side by side

Hey there,

I would like to request a feature to run Plexconnect and the Web server on OS X (10.7 in my case) side by side.

As of now I'm having the following problem:

- Web server running on Mac Mini and can be reached through IP oder 'server.local' on local network.

-- Website loads normally

- Starting Plexconnect, thus intercepting HTTP-Requests

-- Apple TV works perfekt on trailers App

-- Website can not be reached (I assume because the DNS redirects 'server.local' --> '8.8.8.8' --> 'website not available')

Do you think there could be a way to NOT redirect requests for the local IP Address or '*.local'?

Thanks a lot,

Lucas

Btw. Awesome job! At the moment I use my Web server on Port 8080 because Plexconnect is so damn awesome!

Edit: My system: OS X Server 10.7 running PMS, PlexConnect, Web server, some other 'network services'

You can disable PlexConnect’s webserver and use your win using a virtual host.
There are several threads on ways to get it working - you may want to check out the ISX server thread.

Isnt that what the reverse proxy is for? Also here is the osx server link:
