Resolution and Audio show as "None"

Marked this as a Synology issue but also occurs on my Mac and QNAP Plex servers.

Sorting my Movie Library by resolution low to high I see some 4K titles listed along with some DVDs. Looking at the details they show Video and Audio as “None”. Here is the metadata from one of those .mkv files:

What does PMS report for the media info ?

What issue are you having ?

Sorting by resolution gives incorrect results. As I am processing them based on the resolution sort in Topaz it makes the process more difficult.

That looks like PMS can read the filename in the folder but not read the file itself to determine its contents (video, audio, or subtitles)

Can you check the permissions of that movie’s folder and the movie itself, making certain PlexMediaServer has read permission?

( MacOS uses CIFS. CIFS default permissions are for you (only) to read/write files. This means PlexMediaServer will not have read permission)

Thanks. Looked at the files and, unfortunately, they are corrupted as they are unreadable by any player. Sort of discouraging that files not touched in a long time just went bad. So now have to see if I can find the original disks to re-rip them.
