*Resolved*: Upgrade server to 1.23.6.4863 breaks Live TV & DVR - "could not tune channel"

This is resolved, but I’m posting in case others encounter this problem. Upgrading Plex Server from 1.23.4.4805 to 1.23.6.4863 resulted in getting a “Not able to tune channel” when trying to watch Live TV & DVR. There is no record in the HDHR Extend logs that it received a request from Plex to attempt to tune.

This was resolved by doing an EPG refresh. The release notes for 1.23.6.4810 indicate an EPG refresh may be needed if downgrading, but not upgrading, so I don’t know if this is related to the noted change of internal channel identification.

I had same problem. First I downgraded which didn’t help. Then I refreshed EPG with previous version. Still didn’t help. Then, after reading this post, I upgraded again and refreshed the EPG. This worked. Thanks.

Similar problem today, but when upgrading to 1.23.6.4881 on Win10 Pro.

Refreshing my EPG didn’t help, nor uninstalling and reinstalling. But deleting my DVR and recreating it, which also triggered a new EPG download seems to have fixed the problem.
