I have been using Plex for the past few months in Egypt. I have the server on my laptop and I use the app on my phone or Fire TV stick. Everything was going great till I moved to the UAE. It’s not working at all. It always buffers or doesn’t even open the videos. The internet is working fine or even much better than it were in Egypt. So is it not supported in this country or does it need a paid subscription?
UAE and Egypt are different countries.
when you are using the phone or fire tv app, is it on the same local network as your laptop, or are you streaming across the internet?
If you are remote streaming, UAE probably has internet wide filtering or double NAT in place that interferes with plex.
when you are streaming, does the server say you have a remote or indirect connection?
otherwise if your server and clients are all on the same local network, it sounds like you are having some kind of wifi interference or other local network issues causing problems.
