Resume does not work after moving to Freenas

Since I moved my PMS from a debian VM running under ESXi to my Freenas (currently running 11.2 U1) under both jail (at 11.1) and iocage (11.2) I am no longer able to resume streams on my TV, If I select “resume from xx:xx” it will just start playing from the beginning.

It might be related to the new plex app for LG tv, as the new app was released around the same time, I am not 100% sure who is the culprit.

Resuming in the Plex app on Android works fine.

You could test via a web browser on a PC also. But I think from what you’re saying, it’s likely the LG app and not the server.

I think that’s possibly fault of the LG app. I’ve been running PMS PP on FreeNAS for about 4 years, never had this issue. The only problem I have with resuming is if you watch a show, then lock/unlock your phone or something, you are left on the episode’s page. It hasn’t updated yet, so if you hit play it just plays from the beginning. If you hit back again, then click on the episode again to refresh ti, the nit’s resumable. Been a bug forever AFIK, but I don’t think that’s anything to do with freenas either.
