In version 8.7 of the Plex Android app the “Open Remote” feature was removed. This feature let you control a Plex client with a simple up/down/left/right/okay/back set of controls, much like how one would use Netflix or other major streaming services.
I constantly used this feature before it was removed and would like to see it return.

Yes please, return this feature, it ‘was’ the only way I played/controlled content to my PC.
aside they mentioned elsewhere they removed it due to “not many people using it”, essentially what they said about the PMP app. I honestly think that there is something up with their usage telemetry and I feel they should poll the users opinion BEFORE making sweeping changes. That way they don’t have to deal with backlash after the fact.
