Everything has been working swimmingly but the latest Plex app (ver 4.5) available at the iOS store has bricked the ability to be used as a remote control. I’m quite sure it’s the app itself given that I’ve reverted the Plex Media server version back to a previously ‘good’ working server and it still doesnt work. Has anyone else experienced this? please tell me im not the only one.
Same problem here.
urghh… dont you people search or read …at all … this has been posted about at length dozens of times in the ios, PMP and openpht sections…
Yup. You two are pretty guilty. ![]()
Literally just a couple topic threads down on the first page of this sub…
Admittedly this issue was occurring with me using PMP and whatever IOS version the PleX app was before it updated on the 16th (Ver 4.5) but in searching for answers as to why that function stopped working I learned that OpenPHT was out there and last evening installed it (Ver 1.6.2.123). I tested the remote capability right away and it was working exactly as it had before whatever glitch banged it up. Hope this is the case for all that were experiencing the issue.
I’m sorry everyone for not searching the forum for the previously posted topics.
After the latest OpenPHT update (ver 1.7), the iOS remote compatibility has been restored to work as it should.
I now have new problems with my physical remote not being able to control OpenPHT anymore via Eventghost but that’s a story for a new thread. Thanks for the comments.
