When playing an episode of a show, hitting the rewind button on the Fire TV remote doesn’t work when towards the end of the episode. The progress bar indicates that it has rewound by 10 seconds, but it doesn’t actually jump to the earlier point in the episode. The timer just counts forward as if the episode is playing, but it doesn’t play. There is no way to recover once this happens other than leaving the episode, restarting it, and fast forwarding to the correct point in the episode.
I’m not exactly sure how close to the end of the episode you have to be for this to happen, but maybe the last minute or two in a 25 minute episode. I also wonder if this is related to this bug I previously reported (which hasn’t been fixed by the way), where rewinding jumps forward instead. When towards the end of the episode, there’s no place to jump forward to incorrectly, so maybe it just dies instead.
