Right/Center Swap on 5.1 encoded videos

Hi there,

I’ve been having issues with video playback on the PS3.

The Center/Right channels have been swapped when playing back through the Playstation 3.

Here is a sample file:

This was recoded from AC3 to AAC (fAAD) on the english channel, but the problem persists. Playback over optical through MPC exhibits correct playback through the same reciever.

Some videos, encoded from sources such as Blu-Ray, do not exhibit this issue.

The Japanese track on this video does not exhibit this issue.

I can provide more information as needed.

Same problem here. It started happening in June with existing content, so it must be either a PS3 client or server issue introduced with a new update.

Any signs of a fix? Plex is fairly useless with this problem.

It bugs me too. I use the DLNA media server when this happens… at least when I’m at home. Turn it on in the PS3 settings: Settings > Network Settings > Media Server Connection. The Plex server will then show up under VIDEO if you’re on the same network.

Any planned fixes for this problem? Not getting any value out of Plex for the last two months.
