RN102 A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

Did a FACTORY default and installed plexmediaserver-ros6-binaries_1.2.3.2914-1ff0f18_armel

Plex has not worked on this rn102 for a long time.

I see where PMS is having a LOT of difficulty. There are far too many errors in your log files regarding the database for my liking. It makes me think the database was grossly corrupted.

I would like you to (yes, i really regret this) uninstall PMS, make sure the Library is gone (yes, all the metadata) and then install as if cold.

That’s kind of what I have done. I did FACTORY default before installing plex. There is nothing on this nas as I have been trying for months to get plex to work on it.
I can’t get past A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server and server settings unavailable. I can’t set up a Library.
It did work when I got it. I been trying setting it to default and installing plex with every update hoping it would work again but it never does.

I did factory default again then reinstalled the OS and then installed Plex again. There is nothing more I can do here it just don’t work on this system and hasn’t for a long time.

Factory default again installed plexmediaserver-ros6-binaries_1.2.4.2949-4e494e4_armel.

A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

Factory default again installed plexmediaserver-ros6-binaries_1.3.2.3112-1751929_armel

A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

I found when I allowed insecure connections it was able to rebuild library.

A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

This error is shown if the main system agents do not start in time when Plex Web app checks for the system/agents
For all such problems, one needs to see all the plugin log files within the `Logs/PMS Plugin Logs’ directory as well as the server log and it is also important to know at what time the screen message came out. One can then relate to the logs

So it is the python plex media server processes that perhaps are not running or communication with them blocked somehow

What version were you upgrading from?

As of plexmediaserver-ros6-binaries_1.3.3.3148-b38628e_armel it is working. Whatever changed in this update did something to make it work after not working forever and a day.

I have been having the same issue and seeing the error message of " A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server" after installing PMS on a RN102 even with the latest version of PMS, Version 1.14.1.5488.

plexmediaserver-ros6-binaries_1.14.1.5488-cc260c476_armel.deb

Attached are the logs if anyone is able to help.
