Roku 3 can't access Plex Server. Relayed connection only

Last night I updated Plex and this morning Roku can’t find the server. I get a relayed connection only.

Plex Media Server is on a Win 10 PC. Both the PC and Roku are hard wired to my router which is, I know I hate it, a Uverse AT&T Gateway.

I’ve rebooted everything and searched all over and can’t seem to find a solution. Now my head is swimming. The setup has worked great for a couple of years. To my knowledge the only thing that’s changed is the Plex update.

Folks talk about pinging the Roku but I’m not sure how to do that. I’ve gone into the router and looked at lots of stuff until I’m totally confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out it wasn’t my Roku or the AT&T Gateway. It was Plex. The problem started right after I updated Plex to version 1.13.5.5332 so today I rolled it back to version 1.12.3.4973. Everything connects now.

I’m having the same issue and I’ve gone through the same steps, but it’s still not directly connecting. Did you do anything after rolling back the version of Plex? I’m at my wits end with this issue.

I think I also rebooted Win 10. Hope that helps.
