NOTE: I keep server/player as up-to-date as I can, so I can almost guarantee that any issue I ever have is NOT going to be related to not having the latest version, so we can skip that troubleshooting step.
I primarily watch on the Roku app, and this has bothered me for years now.
Under three circumstances, the player will auto-skip to the next episode, when I don’t want it to:
When I click the “Skip Credits” button and the remainder of the episode after the credits has a duration under two minutes.
When I use the remote to manually skip to the end of an episode, with less than two minutes left.
After the transcoder has crashed (which happens way too often, but that’s another issue), and resuming the episode with less than two minutes left.
I want to watch my after-credits scenes, dang it! Is there some setting or something to change for this? I’ve been through the settings several times but can’t find anything about it.
I’ve asked some other folks with Rokus and they tell me they have not seen that behavior… ( not saying it is not happening to you) You may want to see if changing Video played threshold and/or Video play completion behavior helps out https://support.plex.tv/articles/200289526-library/
If there is not a detected end credits sequence then it is expected it skips to the end of file after hitting skip credits button
I can confirm that THIS IS A PROBLEM for my Mother, My Brother-in-law and myself.
We all have TCL Roku TVs (Differnt models, years) – we are all running Roku OS 12
i am seeing the problem with the Plex Roku beta, the others have this issue with the official Plex Player.
I understand what you are saying about the credit markers, but this problem goes back way before Plex Server knew anything about credits and continues to this day – this is a problem we’ve been experiencing for a couple of years.
