To help Plex management teams prioritize what the developers work on next, I thought some Plex Preview testers might be willing to provide their top 3 wish list of realistic features and fixes that they’d love to see implemented first.

It seems like many people have strong opinions and feedback about the new UI. I’m much more of a functionality over aesthetics kinds of guy, so my priorities are different.

Here’s what I personally hope they deliver next:

  1. One-press 30 second skip forward and one-press 10 second skip back (arrow right and left presumably)… or the ability for each user to customize the skip amounts
  2. Direct Play working properly including FF/RW (see here)
  3. Make TV Show deletion fewer steps! When used as a DVR, this something users do absolutely all the time, and right now it’s slightly hidden and/or too many presses to get to. Make the delete button one of the first options when exiting a show. Also, when exiting a TV Show in the last 5 minutes, prompt me asking if I want to delete.

Since I’m quite certain the current bug that crashes Plex when trying to play many HD Homerun Extend/Connect shows will be fixed before release, I’m not including that in my top 3 :slight_smile:

  2. Two-rows of movie/show on deck.
  3. Allow the remote to auto move(repeat when arrows are pressed)

  1. Easy TV deletion. There are way too many clicks right now.
    1a. Don’t kick me out of the show and back to the main list when I do delete an episode.
  2. Scroll from the bottom of the list to the top by pressing down on the bottom row, and flip that to scroll to the bottom by going all the way to the top and clicking up. The same way the old app does with left to right.
  3. Keep the clock on the screen when scrolling through All Shows/All Movies

Those are exactly my top three although #3 is my top need/want.

I’m sure the crash after deleting last show in a series will be fixed soon too.
