Roku Remote control - button mapping changed?!?

With the latest update (Or the one just before) my remote control is not behaving the way I was used to it behaving.

Before:
When watching a channel, I could press the [Up] arrow and the channel would play in the upper left corner and the guide would appear and allow me to scroll to a new channel.

Now:
The arrow does nothing when watching a channel

Before:
After pressing the [Up] arrow and not selecting a new channel, I could press the <Left[Exit]> Arrow and it would cancel the guide and return me to the channel I was on

Now:
When I press the <Left[Exit]> Arrow, I exit the guide.

Why was this changed? It was the closest option to a [previous channel] I had.
Is there a way to map the buttons for the Roku remote?
Is there a tutorial on what the buttons do now?
Is there any documentation on what a given player’s remote does? Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick, Roku, anything?

I noticed the same thing and I’m not particularly happy with the change. I used the up button to see the guide and easily drop back to the channel I was watching by hitting the back button. I’m not sure who thought this was an improvement but in my opinion it is not.

Is there anyway to re-map the control?
