Roku update now affecting direct play/ transcoding?

Anyone know the chenges made to the new Roku 7.6.0 ?
PMS.1.5.5.3634
Win7 x64 on AMD 1100T Phenom
16GB memory
Full gigabit lan connections

i think my wife may have updated the firmware on the Roku, now files formerly being transcoded are now attempting to Direct Play, or failing to Direct play and falling back to transcoding to HLS.
Current settings that work with this new firmware on Roku
All quality set to Original
Direct Play disabled
Direct Stream un checked
Transcode ver 4.1
HLS

I just wanted to see who else was was seeing this type of issue?. no issues remote watching for those outside of the lan. Besides movies and tv shows our primary use is for IPTV with that channel plugin.

I’m having a problem too. I haven’t had the time to troubleshoot, but I’m on the same Plex Beta version as you and my Roku 4 is having issues playing files that were originally recorded with Plex DVR and then re-encoded after commercials were skipped. There were no issues prior to this Beta version. Could be a Roku update, though (mine auto-update), because my Roku Premier+ doesn’t have the same issue.

I will have to investigate further when I get the time to see if my settings mimic yours.

here’s 4 streams, top two transcode and the bottom two direct play. If anyone has thoughts I’d love to hear all attempting to play on roku 4
