*** The Rotten Tomatoes metadata agent is available through the Channel Directory ***
Hi all,
Now that we can't have IMDB anymore, I was just wondering if anyone could step up and make a Rotten Tomatoes agent that would bring movie ratings to us Plex/Nine lovers. TheMovieDB's movies rating, in my opinion, is not as good as IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes, most titles (except for really major ones) don't have any ratings at all, which is quite disappointing. I noticed that there is a Rotten Tomatoes bundle in my Plugins folder but it doesn't seem to be working at all, hopefully someone with the skills out there can turn it into something useful
there already is a agent for rotten tomatoes, i think it’s just broken, it probably needs to be updated to work with the new freebase primary agent instead of imdb. the github repo for it is here: http://github.com/plexinc-agents/RottenTomatoes.bundle
Hello Raindancing! Thanks for your RT agent! Got a tip for you so your agent doesn’t have to do its own search on movietitle. Since your agent is a secondary agent for Freebase/IMDB, the IMDB id is already known (media.primary_metadata.id). Strip off the ‘tt’ and use the resulting number for the ‘s’ parameter in:
You know, I looked and looked, and couldn't find that Rotten Tomatoes kept imdb ids indexed. I thought that was the whole reason nobody had fixed this yet. Thanks, Sander.
hi guys, have installed this, but clicking update library doesn't rescan or change in metadata, am I doing something wrong? (i have moved the rotten tomato to the top of the scraper list)
