I’m experience an issue with some Movies when retrieving metadata using the Plex Movie agent, where the Rottent Tomatoes rating is not being correctly retrieved.
There are a number of different issues experienced.
Some instances the auto-match does not contain a rating, using fix match correctly retrieves the rotten tomatoes rating, even though there was only one viable match available.
Some Movies are only retrieving the Audience rating, with no Critic rating being displayed
Some Movies are showing NaN% for Critic rating
Some Movies are only retrieving the IMDB rating
In each instance, there doesn’t appear to be an issue with Movie titles, or release dates aligning with Rotten Tomatoes listing, nor does there appear to be a conflict. For each of the movies that are experiencing an issue, Rotten Tomatoes has both critic and audience ratings.
While this appears to be an issue with the metadata in the Plex Movie Agent. It would be helpful if there was a method within Plex Media Server interface to manually resolve this issue locally
I’m also having this issue and it’s happening on any movie with a RT critic score between 0% and 9%.
Example: “Alone in the Dark (2005)” has a 1% critic rating but in the database it simply has null. The audience score of 11% is correctly shown. I haven’t verified whether or not the 0%-9% issue exists on RT audience score as well (it’s hard to find audience score that low…).
I recently refreshed all metadata to see if a server update would resolve this issue, but it has not.
Is it possible to get a real example movies that you see these. I have one for the NaN% one from example @Dragonchuk gave. I just want to add examples for report.
Honestly, I found this experience pretty frustrating so I’ve switched to IMDB for my audience ratings on my Library and I have a consistent experience across all of my movies.
