Hi, I changed my ISP yesterday and router of course and after that the Plex app in amazon fire tv stick says Server not found. The app on my iPhone connects but does not ‘see’ the libraries. It sees them all empty.
The Server (sitting on Windows 10 on a laptop) is up and running and updated to the latest version. 1.15 if I remember correct.
I tried to disable the firewalls to both router and laptop but no luck.
If it helps, I noticed the router IP changed from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1.
The devices are all listed on the ‘Devices’ on the server.
Did you restart Plex server after the router switchover?
You should reboot the whole machine.
Then let it sit for a while.
Then reboot all the client devices as well.
Thanks Otto, I did restart the whole machine when the new ISP service got live cause my laptop did not connect either. After the restart all seems good. Also the devices were rebooted.
The other thing I changed is in Settings>DLNA>DLNA client preferences it was set at IP=192.168.0.16 and I set it to 192.168.1.16. Not sure if I did the right thing there.
Any other ideas? I read something about all devices needs to be under the same subnet mask? No idea how I can check that. Any chance that might have changed with the router switch?
Unless you assigned some of your devices manually with IP addresses (normally your router does that for you), this should have been taken care of by rebooting your devices.
Can you edit the configuration of your router?
If you do, look for a setting ‘DNS server’ and set it to 8.8.8.8
Then reboot the router again.
